If you are just now tuning in with the Fit and Happy Winner Challenge, here is a brief background summary of our current challenger, Danielle:

Danielle is on a mission to lose weight, gain stamina, and be healthier. She wants to be comfortable in her own skin and tone her body. She is soon to be 40 years old and she knows she needs to make a complete lifestyle change to achieve her ultimate goals and feel truly happy. She signed up for the Fit and Happy Winner Challenge to have a personal trainer who will give her the perfect program and hold her accountable to help her get fit and happy. Danielle’s Starting Point:
Weight: 192lbs
Waist: 41 inches
Hips: 50 1/2 inches
Tricep: 14 inches
Chest: 45 inches

I’m Fit and Happy’s update on Danielle’s progress:

Danielle has lost 20lbs and a total of 22 inches throughout her body!

What’s even more impressive is her strength. She can do 2 sets of 2 minute planks and 3 sets of 25 incline pushups.

Danielle is training with me twice a week for an hour at my Pilates Studio in Woodland Hills, Ca. She also does workout videos from my home workout program when we are not together. 

As per my suggestion, Danielle has continued:

  1. Drinking Kefir in the morning and at night to improve her gut microbiome
  2. Adding coconut oil to her tea in the mornings to provide her body with healthy fat and energy
  3. Taking Primal Omegas (Omega 3 Fish Oil from Primal Blueprint) to help reduce inflammation throughout her body
  4. Eating Primally: Her meals are based on my Primal Approved Foods List
  5. Staying away from processed foods, grains, and sugar while enjoying vegetables, healthy fat and clean protein. 

Danielle has such a positive attitude and always shows up even when she may not feel up for it. She always tries her best and ends up surprising herself with her accomplishments in our personal training sessions. 

I could not be more proud of Danielle because I know these positive changes are going to be long term. I did not give her a quick fix to lose weight. She has slowly lost inches and gained strength over the past 7 months. She will continue to lose inches and gain lean muscle throughout the next year, so stay tuned!
