Let’s change things up this summer and consider this small change: Choose JUICY, RIPE, ORGANIC TOMATOES instead of using Ketchup!

This summer, I’m Fit & Happy challenges you to eat whole foods and cut back on processed foods!

You can change your entire outlook on how to eat whole foods and develop a healthier way of eating this summer just by making this one small change!

Believe it or not, Ketchup is basically all sugar! Next time you see a bottle of Ketchup, read the ingredients first before you consider pouring it onto your burger or your eggs! You will notice these ingredients on the label: High Fructose Corn Syrup, Corn Syrup, and Sugar! These ingredients have GMO’s (genetically modified organisms), sugar, and addictive qualities that make you want to eat more. Besides the list of reasons you should cut back on sugar, your body doesn’t know how to digest processed foods because of the chemicals they possess. Feeding our bodies organic, whole, unprocessed foods is going to give us the fuel and energy we need to maintain a strong immune system and live a Fit & Happy lifestyle!

The only ingredients in organic tomatoes: Organic Tomatoes. If it says organic, you don’t have to worry about GMOs. Once you start simply reading the label on the food you are eating, you might reconsider what you put in your mouth if you care about your health and what you put in your body. Most people don’t read labels and that’s why they still eat processed foods. Make a small change this summer by being more aware of the ingredients in your foods! Making a single decision to cut out ketchup and replace ketchup with sliced tomatoes is going to make a profound impact on your energy, your skin, your health, and your self esteem! Try an organically grown tomato the next time you have the opportunity and enjoy the delicious, juicy flavor it has to offer!

Here’s a great idea: Bring local, organic tomatoes to your next BBQ, add them to a salad, and/or enjoy plain sliced organic tomatoes as a snack or as a side dish.

Here’s some more food for thought: Organic tomatoes are known to be rich in antioxidants such as Lycopene and Vitamins E and C. Our cardiovascular system, responsible for pumping oxygenated blood throughout our bodies,  really needs antioxidants to help protect our bodies from free radical damage. Organic tomatoes offer vitamins E and C, which are critical antioxidant support for the cardiovascular system. Tomatoes also offer a lot of other nutrients including Potassium, Folate, and Vitamin K.

We believe the more you try to incorporate whole foods instead of processed foods, the healthier and stronger you will become! We challenge you to cut out the Ketchup and indulge in Whole Foods such as organic tomatoes instead!
