Here is the 21 day detox:

  1. Only High Quality Meat, Fish, Fowl, and Eggs (Wild-caught fish, Grass-Fed Meat, Organic Chicken, and Pasture-Raised Eggs)
  2. No Processed Foods (If it’s in a package, put it down)
  3. No Grains (Bread, cereal, rice, pasteries, and anything with flour)
  4. No Caffeine
  5. No Alcohol
  6. No Sugar
  7. No Dairy
  8. No Drama

The majority of the diet consists of High Quality Protein, Healthy Fats, and Organic Vegetables.

My husband and I have done this 21 Day Detox twice a year for 6 years now. We feel amazing after the first week. We always talk about how happy we are that we do this detox because we love the way we feel when we do it.

The first 5 days are the hardest part. We get brutal headaches! I also get muscle and nerve pain in my sacrum and down the back of my legs. We always try to get a good 8 hours of sleep every night because it helps with the detox symptoms. It also helps us form the healthy habit of going to bed early enough so that we can get a full night’s sleep. We both feel that we need 8 hours to feel rested and energized the next day.

The 21 Day Detox gets us back in the healthy habit of cooking at home. There is nothing like cooking at home because you are in control of what your food is cooked in. Most of the time, even if you eat healthy when you eat out, you are still getting poor quality meat cooked in inflammatory oils.

What you need to know! 21 Day Detox

First, find someone who will do it with you. It is always helpful to have a partner to help motivate you when times get hard.

Second, there is a sense of discipline, commitment, determination, and will power involved. Be prepared for the challenges that lie ahead because there will be times you feel like it is okay to have “just 1 cookie”.

Each morning, about 5:30am, I make a green smoothie with avocado, spinach, cucumber, kefir, and water. I always have some sort of leafy green such as spinach, kale, parsley, or arugula. We also like to throw in a couple cloves of raw garlic if we have it. We make our own kefir, but you can buy it at the store. Kefir offers amazing probiotics to give you a healthy gut and a strong immune system.

We make an herbal peppermint tea and blend the tea with grass-fed butter and coconut oil. This is what I drink in the morning until I get hungry around 11 or 12 and then I drink my Green smoothie.

For lunch, I usually have some canned wild-caught salmon mixed with Primal Mayo. Primal Mayo is a yummy, healthy mayo! It is made with organic eggs, avocado oil (instead of canola or other inflammatory oils), rosemary, and sea salt.

For dinner, my husband cooks up an organic chicken, makes some homemade bone broth, or saute’s some wild-caught fish and pairs it with some organic vegetables.

We eat a lot of healthy fat and never feel like we are on a detox because the food we are eating is extremely satisfying. We don’t have to worry about counting calories because we are eating healthy and keeping our hormones balanced by staying away from sugar and processed foods.

Good Luck on your 21 Day Detox! Just remember, you can do anything you put your mind to. This challenge will change your life!
